In this painting which represents an outdoor scene the bullfighting ring space holds this group of figures talking to us.
On the contrary to many other Spanish artists
bullfight tradition did not influenced my work in a positive way, in my case
I´ve been exploring these negative ideas
for my own art and transform them into concrete works.
La Torera is a symbolic document, painted with
delicate brushstrokes unlike many other more gestural and expressionist works done in one go . Through
a range o colors between warm and cold I created a sweet , warm symbolic work
that represents monstrosity.
This painting, an autonomous work of art is already an item of evidence a reminder of something
that is about to die.
