Local
authorities are very interested in hiding any irregularities, fudge or land
reclassifications whilst cutting down trees. On the other hand, cleaning the
woods from dry ground scrub which bears the danger of forest fires is not
profitable, and so it’s simply not done. What’s more, if you report a neighbor
for not keeping clean his land, the police tell you he has no obligation. And then we see what happens..

Corruption Sucks
So, finally 7
years later they made it with an industrial complex that is entirely
unoccupied. The mayor of Alcalá, Francisco Juan Mars, of the PP, has shown
his macho alfa side to show off in front of the silent village.
Iberdrola’s electrical tower which could and should have been placed about 10 m
to the left, in an abandoned and unregistered piece of land, went like an arrow
for the neighboring pine trees, cutting down more than 50 of them.
These people
play with the land at their whim, cheat, embezzle and destroy, and demonstrate
again and again that corruption is like the plague.
What is this 7
year old project of an “urgent” electrical line going to enlighten? I hope the
next mayor because we are fed up of the fudging in the darkness by the current
one.
With the money
that Iberdrola offered us in exchange for the destruction, I could have paid
taxes and lawyers and invested in promoting my work but honesty cannot be
bought, nor is it for sale.
