You remember that
beautiful door made of oak wood and glass which seemed embroidered because when
we took off the rear glass, some threads fell off.. Well, I have now found a
place for it.
In Spain people build
with brick, a mix of cement, water and sand called mortar which you can make
more or less consistent according to its use. I was surprised by the lightness
of the wooden houses in The Hamptons. Wood is soft and usually malleable,
whereas mortar will show cracks when the ground moves.
In the old days,
field workers used to store their tools in little huts made of stone and mud,
which they knead until they get a centenary mortar, much softer than cement and
more consistent than wood.
I restored the little
toll hut, centenary jewel, and my door, embroidered with colored thread, will
go in there.
Os acordáis de
aquella puerta tan bonita de roble y cristal que parece bordada porque al
quitar el cristal de atrás
se han caído
algunos hilos, bueno pues ya le he encontrado sitio.
En España se
construye con ladrillos ,cemento y arena, la mezcla se llama mortero, se puede
hacer más o
menos consistente según
vaya a ser utilizado.
Me sorprendió la
ligereza de las casa en los Hamptons de madera, la madera es blanda y maleable,
el mortero , por el contrario se agrieta con el corrimiento de tierras.
Antiguamente en el campo los
agricultores guardaban los aperos de trabajo en casas hechas de piedra y
barro, amasándolos
hasta conseguir un mortero centenario, mucho más blando
que el cemento, y más
consistente que la madera.
Restauré mi cabaña de
aperos, pequeña joya
centenaria ,mi puerta bordada con hilos de colores va a ir dentro de ella.
