Corleone and Company.

How is it possible that I, with an IQ of 152 have spent the last 14 years suffering Caparrós and his ill-smelling pigs when he probably doesn’t get to 90? Union makes for strength, and the local PP Corleone gang are supporting him to in order to screw intelligence.

The Fourth Door.

Now we are going for the fourth door. I already told you that I just love breaking through walls if I have the right door to go with it. I'll show you the results. Routine I hate and everything new stimulates me. Luckily I have no obstacles that keep me from carrying out my creative whims.

The Hut

.

You remember that beautiful door made of oak wood and glass which seemed embroidered because when we took off the rear glass, some threads fell off.. Well, I have now found a place for it.

In Spain people build with brick, a mix of cement, water and sand called mortar which you can make more or less consistent according to its use. I was surprised by the lightness of the wooden houses in The Hamptons. Wood is soft and usually malleable, whereas mortar will show cracks when the ground moves.

In the old days, field workers used to store their tools in little huts made of stone and mud, which they knead until they get a centenary mortar, much softer than cement and more consistent than wood.

I restored the little toll hut, centenary jewel, and my door, embroidered with colored thread, will go in there.

The Door a Hole in History.

The door, a hole in history.

A simple opening in the wall which allows entering as well as leaving through it has a thousand-year history. In the old days, walled-in cities were protected by grand gates, and that is where their glory began.

Where I see a door I like, I buy it, without actually caring where it will go in the end, because unlike in the case of fortified cities, I build around it..

For its solidity and form, a door can be a symbol of power, and of independence. Metaphorically speaking, a door can be the forerunner of change, but also an obstacle which keeps us from getting to where we want to go.

You can be at the gates of death, or at the door to heaven.

These marvelous objects have seen hidden treasures pass through them, family ruins, memories of the past, laments, happiness, sobs and cries, but also love affairs from unhappiness, etc. etc

These are my doors. Now I have to build an adequate space to put them.

No excuses.

Not even a ton of excuses will be sufficient to open new doors.

Among the Trees(Before)

Amongst the trees

I have placed my house in the woods, architecture between trees.

There was the old foundation and a few small trees, slowly but surely and without touching any roots, I have added more volume with care, introducing it into the woods without any invasion. There are now steps between the pine, almond and mandarin trees. Natural stone steps lead up and down, interact and dialogue with the various levels of the prehistoric terrain.

There is a single exterior color code which moves you because of its simplicity, the white, and the abundant, all-enveloping green of the environment. Each surface has been treated one by one, instants of my life, until achieving that it, the house, has acquired its own life, even without me.

I have given it the sensibility and the knowledge, it gives me the warmth of a conventional space, which is my style, and which I share with my beloved.

He insertado escalones entre pinos, almendros y mandarinos.

There is something truly important I have not been able to achieve this year. Next year my fight against Iberdrola will continue: I will stop them from cutting down part of the pine trees where they intend to place an electricity pylon. The project makes no sense whatsoever. The plan is to place the pylon there in order to have an electricity supply reach a deserted industrial estate. A lot of money was invested in it, already 6 years ago, however not one single plot of land has been sold, I believe due to its closeness to the cemetery.
If it were truly necessary to have the pylon there, there is a plot of land right next to the pine trees which is totally barren and abandoned. The deviation towards the trees makes no sense at all.
